2008: Last Surviving Horsedrawn Bellevue Ambulance

As of May 2008, the ambulance is situated in the lobby of Bellevue Hospitals' main building, behind a temporary protective barrier. The hospital is preparing a permanent, protected display which will also feature a stocked surgeons bag and Ambulance Surgeons hat donated by the family of a surgeon who served during the early 1900's.

Below are several quick,and regrettably low resolution photos of that bag. Note the method of storing the various medications in glass vials. Better pictures will be provided in the near future.
